Tidal Max (HiRes FLAC)

If I'm not mistaken, it looks like the introduction of Tidal HiRes FLAC, means that InnuOS only plays the 16bit version of an album, even if available in HiRes FLAC (24bit) on Tidal - or at least, this is what the sense app suggests. It also displays the album as standard i.e. no HD indicator in the sense app.

MQA still plays where available.

Are there plans to support HiRes from Tidal?

Appreciate the change in Tidal strategy / current unknowns re: MQA is probably a bit of a nightmare!

Appreciate getting this in version 2.6.0. However the bitrate and sampling rate doesn't match with the Tidal app. Seems to always show 96kHz / 24 bit, even if I'm playing an 88 or 176 kHz

For most artists, all Tidal albums are available ONLY in Tidal HD.
Someone who only has a Tidal Hifi Plus subscription, this makes for an extremely limited selection of music available. Basically, I can't listen to anything at all. I see the HD albums but they are not playing on the Innuos Statement. Not quite the start I expected after purchasing a true high end streamer.
I am glad I still have CDs.
I do hope this gets fixed really soon.

We are ready to make the switch over to the Max service, so will synchronise this with the launch of our next software update which is due soon.

Just upgraded to Tidal HiFi Plus (downgraded post the MQA shenanigans) as they now have HiRes FLAC so also very interested in this.

Just wondering how Sense will integrate the change to high res FLAC instead of MQA for tidal Max files?

As a third-party partner to Tidal, there are changes we'll need to make on our end to reflect these changes with Tidal, so these will come shortly in our development cycle.

Perfect - thanks. Might be worth letting the community know it's coming, as I'm sure others will have the same question. Tidal updated all of the Apps yesterday (as least in the UK)
