Editing the Music/My Library page.

Would be good to be able to edit this page in exactly the same way I can edit the Home page i.e. to remove those elements I don’t need to see.

Merged with: Reorganize device landing page

As of right now, when using the app, streaming services appear at the very bottom of the landing page. This requires scrolling to reach currently. Since the app resets back to device selection when not the active app (so, when it is running in the background), having to go back through all of these steps each time with streaming services practically buried is a bit frustrating.

As someone who pretty much exclusively uses a streaming service, I would propose either moving the streaming service buttons to the top or revising this page to select streaming services or local storage first. This would require less initial loading time for this screen and would save time with clicks and scrolling, which is a much better UX.

Hi, at the moment the widgets of the Home page can already be edited and re-ordered to your taste. As for the Music page itself where the shortcuts to the streaming services are currently at the bottom, in the forthcoming 2.5.5 update we will also allow editing of this page which would let you bring those services to the top.

The scope of this would include;
- Rearrangement of 'sections' to your prefernce: Music Library Categories, Streaming Services and the new USB Drives category can be reordered how you wish.
- Individual Music Library Categories can be hidden, similar to the Home Widgets editing screen (for example, you can hide Tracks and Smart Mixes views if you wish).

Sounding good.

After adding the Tags view, and as we continue to add more streaming services the main 'Music' tab indeed could start getting quite long, so giving users the option to trim away some of these unwanted options seems sensible.

Up vote from me. I will never use smart mixes or streaming services. additionally on the home page I will never use any of the buttons ending with the word "mix" and it irks me to have to scroll past them to find my one true love the play anything button.

Hi Mike, is it a case that the current icons/shortcuts are a bit too big and make the page too large overall? Or is it also a case you might want to change the order in which the different options are organised?

No not really. A couple of examples. I’m simply never going to use the Tracks button. Others will. I won’t. The ability to remove those elements I don’t use just makes for a cleaner, faster app experience.

Similarly, I don’t need the Folders button and as I have Smart Mixes on the Home page I don’t need thar button on the Music page.

Others would doubtless want to remove different elements to me. Being able to customise each oats would enable that.

Hi Mike, that certainly sounds sensible enough, we'll discuss this on our side. Thank you!
