Is there no way to connect an external HD that can also be read from the library? with covers etc
like what happens with NAS storage?
Thank you

Hi Marco, due to many performance restrictions, leaving a USB drive permanently connected to be used as a constant library source is not viable. Not only would the USB drive negatively impact sound quality due to inserting noise directly onto the USB subsystem, but there is also an impact on the UX where rescanning and editing albums would be much slower and subject to issues and risks if you don’t unmount drives properly.
In short, it's lose-lose; slower performance, worse sound quality, high risk of data corruption.
NAS drives are inherently different; they're mechanically separated away from the streamer more and tend to remain available 24/7, they are not a portable solution like USB drives. This is why we do allow NAS drives as a library location.
