More user-friendly search facility

It annoys me a little that the button for search is at the bottom and the search bar is tiny and at the top. If Search is pressed, surely the search bar could be more central and larger?

The current search facility in the Sense app is cumbersome and not user friendly, especially on an iPad (mini)... In portrait mode search bottom right, then a tiny bar at the top, with cursor not yet in place and keyboard not yet active. When i want to search it's the only thing i need at that moment. So better, when i press search bottom right, the keyboard should appear automatically, the search bar immediately above it , with the cursor already active and with at least double size of the font. Whatever is above that is immaterial during the search
